What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site or visit our website. When completing a form or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address or telephone number. You may, however, visit Opening.io anonymously.


What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways: (1) To improve our website experience and (2) To send periodic emails. The email address you provide will only ever be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your request, unless you have explicitly consented to receiving marketing communication emails from us. We will only send marketing communications to you via email where you have consented that we may do so. We will offer you a check box on the forms we use to collect your personal information where, if you agree to receive marketing communications, you have to click the box. Where we send marketing communications to you via email, you may opt out of receiving any further marketing communications by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ or ‘opt-out’ function in the email. In addition, you can also exercise your opt-out right at any time by contacting us at support@opening.io and providing the following information: your name, your email address, the marketing communications you would like to opt out of receiving.


How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place a request or enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.


Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your web browser, if you allow it, that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. Google Analytics
This web site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google Tag Manager 
Google Tag Manager is a product of Google that enables us to administer website tags from applications such as e.g. Google Analytics on an interface. The Tag Manager is a cookie-less domain and does not capture personal data.

Google Maps
Our website uses the ‘Google Maps’ service provided by Google, for instance to give you the ability to search for our office locations. When accessing Google Maps on this website data are forwarded to Google, for instance your current location. For this service the Google data protection provisions apply (https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en), supplemented by the separate data protection provisions for Google Maps (https://www.google.com/intl/en_en/help/terms_maps.html). 

You can prevent the switching on of Google Maps by preventing the use of the deployed javascript codes selectively using a javascript blocker; but alternatively you can also deactivate in your browser settings the implementation of javascript completely.

Social Media Buttons
Our website uses Social Media buttons (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to enable you to interact with third parties. These Social Media buttons are not connected as plug-ins over a so-called iFrame, but set as links. By activating the Social Media buttons you are redirected to the site of the corresponding provider. To comply with data protection provisions and for accuracy, topicality and completeness of the information on data processing provided there the relevant provider within the meaning of Art. 4 (17) GDPR is responsible.  


Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Changes to this policy

Opening may make changes to this policy from time to time, reserving the right to adjust this data privacy policy to ensure that it is in line with the current legal requirements, or in order to accommodate changes in the services offered, for example when new services are introduced or modifications are made on the website. 

In this case, the new data privacy statement applies to any later visit of this software. Changes to this policy will be announced via a Twitter update on the @OpeningDublin handle and become effective as soon as they are announced or posted to this website.
